enCareers with maths: a set of three posters from Plus
http://plus.maths.org/content/careers-maths-set-three-posters-plus

Back in 2004, we produced a set of posters about careers in maths, with the support of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research council. The posters were phenomenally popular. Copies were initially sent to the maths departments of most secondary schools in the UK, and continued to be requested by students, teachers and other Plus readers over the years, both from the UK and overseas. Unfortunately we have run out of printed stocks but you can still download and print them yourself.
career interviewcareers with mathematicsWed, 28 Mar 2012 10:54:00 +0000Rachel5689 at http://plus.maths.org/contentCareer interview: Cost engineer

Slogging through your A-Levels at the moment? Wondering what it's all for? Here's some consolation from researchers at the London School of Economics - it seems that an A-Level in maths can significantly boost your earnings.

In new research by Anna Vignoles and Peter Dolton, it is suggested that "individuals who have mathematics A Level earn between 7% and 11% more than otherwise similar individuals who do not take mathematics beyond the age of 16."

http://plus.maths.org/content/maths-adds#commentscareers with mathematicsmathematics educationFri, 30 Apr 1999 23:00:00 +0000plusadmin2683 at http://plus.maths.org/content
