However, I just have a small problem in understanding the following statement in the Light Attenuation section: 'If a quantity is proportional to two different quantities independently, then it is also proportional to the product of those two quantities.' Isn't it that the square of the quantity, rather than the quantity itself, should be proportional to the product of the two quantities ?
Could you please clarify this ?
