The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is an annual networking event at which young researchers get the chance to mingle with some of the best minds in mathematics and computer science. During a boat trip on the beautiful river Neckar at this year's forum we got the chance to talk to some of these young researchers, who each gave us a three-minute video introduction to their work. Here they are! Click on the links to see the videos.

To read and watch more content produced from the HLF see here.

Demian Nahuel Goos — Demian talks to us about his work on the central equation of quantum mechanics. He is a PhD student at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina.

Yipeng Huang — Yipeng Huang talks to us about his work on analog computing. He is a PhD student at Columbia University.

Fred Morstatter — Fred talks about biases in social media data and how to avoid them. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southern California Information Science Institute.

Soukayna Mouatadid — Soukayna talks about her work on the intersection of machine learning and climate science. She is a PhD student at the University of Toronto.

June Park — June talks about his work on the connections between geometry and number theory. He is a PhD student at the University of Minnesota.

Thomas Vogt — Thomas talks about his work on mathematical methods for imaging neurons in our brains. He is a PhD student at the University zu Lübeck, Germany.
