Support Plus

Plus is part of the Millennium Mathematics Project at the University of Cambridge. The Project receives no statutory funding and is entirely supported by donations and grants. Our activities are only made possible by the generosity of organisations and individuals committed to the future of mathematics education and to improving the public understanding of mathematics.

Plus has reached more than 1.2 million readers over the past year, in countries across the world: we are committed to keeping Plus free for users to maximise access to the material. The funding we receive from our supporters covers the salary costs of our editorial staff (who write articles, edit contributions by external authors, conduct interviews, and produce the news items and podcasts) and our technical staff who maintain the website.

Plus has benefited from the generosity of many organisations and individuals since it began in 1997, and we would like to thank all of our sponsors, past and present, for their support. We would particularly like to thank all of our readers who have responded so generously with support during hard times.

If you would like to become a Plus sponsor, either as an individual or an organisation, then please contact us, or donate to Plus. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will enable us to keep Plus as it is: interesting, intelligent, fun, and - very importantly - free of charge for all our readers.

Three ways to give

  • Online: You can donate by credit card online via the University of Cambridge Development Office's secure site. Giving in this way means that, if you wish, your donation can benefit from Gift Aid, making your gift worth even more to us at no extra cost to you. Please choose the option to support Plus Magazine.

If you are a US taxpayer you may prefer to donate online via Cambridge in America. Please tick the checkbox 'To support Cambridge as indicated below' and state in the comment box provided that you would like your gift to support 'The Millennium Mathematics Project's Plus website' (please note that it is important to cite the Millennium Mathematics Project as well as Plus to ensure the correct destination for your gift).

  • By cheque: You can send a cheque made payable to University of Cambridge together with a completed Plus donation form to:

    Patrick Hawke-Smith
    University of Cambridge Development Office
    1 Quayside
    Bridge Street
