Modern physics has a problem: the theory that describes the world at very small scales, quantum physics, and the theory that describes it at large scales, general relativity, don't fit together. Nadia Bahjat-Abbas of Queen Mary, University of London, works on the double copy, a programme to find mathematical similarities between the two conflicting theories.
Find out more about this, and Bahjat-Abbas experiences as a mature student who has previously worked in finance and as a teacher in Malaysia, in this video.
This interview is part of our Researching the unknown series featuring physicists from Queen Mary, University of London.
