James Fergusson is a Professor of Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge. He was a member of the Planck consortium where he developed novel methods of constraining primordial non-Gaussianity using Cosmic Microwave Background and Large Scale Structure data. He is the Executive Director of the Data Intensive Science programmes at the University of Cambridge and Director of the Infosys Cambridge Enterprise AI Centre. The Data Intensive Science group operates at the interface of physics and artificial intelligence, focusing on areas where AI has the potential to fundamentally transform the way science is conducted.
